A Note From Jenn

I started EllandEmm in 2012, the year my second daughter, Elle, was born. I was a young mom of two, and we were still climbing out of the financial fog left by the 2008 housing crash. We were living on one income, and I desperately wanted to contribute to our family—but I couldn’t imagine leaving my girls in daycare, especially with a newborn who cried around the clock and wouldn’t settle for anyone but me.

So I did the only thing I could think to do: I sat at my kitchen table during nap times and started making jewelry. I listed my first pieces on Etsy with no real plan—just hope, creativity, and a deep need to make it work. Back then, the internet wasn’t oversaturated, and there was something beautiful about how small and personal things felt.

Four years later, I slowly stepped into apparel. I had no experience—just a desire to create fun, affordable graphic tees that made women feel good. That’s how EllandEmm was born. Named after my daughters, Elleanor and Emma, who inspired it all.

Today, I’m a mom of three, and EllandEmm has grown with me. I still design each piece with real life in mind. I believe clothes should work with you—an outfit you can wear to a meeting, then to the airport or the soccer field without missing a beat. I want women to feel confident, pulled-together, and comfortable, without needing to overthink it.

EllandEmm wasn’t born from a business plan—it came from a love for fashion, from necessity, and from a dream to stay close to my babies while building something of my own. I’m just a regular mom who took a leap and kept going, no matter what challenges I was faced with, just one piece at a time.
